James Grint – British RallyCross for 2017
James from St Albans Herts (brother of actor Rupert Grint) is 26 and has been rallying prior to entering Rallycross competition in 2015 where he competed in European Rallycross with Albatec Racing followed by The British Rallycross Championship in 2016 again with Albatec Racing.
For 2017 the plan is to compete in The British series again, but currently at the time of writing this document, there are two options, Albatec Racing or Spencer Sport. The choice will depend upon sponsorship acquired by Totally Motorsport. Currently we are negotiating with four potential partners. Spencer Sport are also planning to use our services should James sign with this team.
James Grint has been managed by Totally Motorsport for nearly two years and the relationship is strong. For 2017 Totally Motorsport will be involved in the hospitality side as well as the management. There are a number of events outside the series too which include Carfest and Ignition events and possibly The Goodwood Festival of Speed which James competed in 2015 with Up & Go a brand introduced by Totally Motorsport.
The cost of a season of British Rallycross varies between £150k and £350k depending on which team he joins.
