Ecclestone hoping for a November date for postponed Bahrain GP

Bernie Ecclestone has said there is no chance of rescheduling the Bahrain Grand Prix in August, and is now aiming for a date at the back end of the season. In an interview with BBC Sport Ecclestone said a decision about the 2011 Bahrain GP would be finalised at the FIA World Motor Sport Council on Tuesday. He also hinted that the Brazilian Grand Prix, which is currently scheduled for November 27, could be moved back a week, in order to help reschedule the Bahrain GP. "I'm hoping beyond hope things settle peacefully and we find a slot later in the year," Ecclestone said. "If there is peace in Bahrain then we will be there, we will find a way. We'll have a look at what we can do with the date; maybe we can swap things round a bit with Brazil or something." Although, reports have suggested that the teams would support a race in the summer, Ecclestone has abandoned the idea saying: "August? Forget it. Too hot. Too hot for the audience to sit in the grandstands, its 40-odd degrees."
