Ferrari Reveal Launch Date
Ferrari have announced that they will launch their 2011 car on the 28th January at their Maranello base. Team principal Stefano Domenicali said that the team hopes that their new Formula One car can do 100 kilometres on their own track for commercial purposes before heading to the first pre-season tests in Valencia on the 1st of Febuary. Fernando Alonso will be at the wheel for the first two days before Felipe Massa takes over. Speaking at a news conference Domenicali said "The car we see at the launch won't be the one we'll see at the first race in Bahrain, we'll see different things," The Ferrari team principal also announced he was no longer vice-president of the Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) and that a new deputy will be appointed soon. Although, McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh remains president of the organisation.
