Hamilton on the verge of finding a new manager
Lewis Hamilton has been searching for the perfect new manager for nearly a year, following his well-publicised split with his father at the start of the 2010 season. Although, it looks as if his search may finally be over with ESPNF1 reporting that Hamilton has said he now had a shortlist which was down to "a couple of candidates". "Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to let you know what's going on," Hamilton said. "But it's positive. It won't distract me from my job, and certainly things will be taken care of a lot better than when I was looking after myself." A number of newspapers have reported that the Beckham's manager, Simon Fuller is the favourite, although IMG and Creative Artists Agency are also in the frame. It is a well known fact that Hamilton keen to "grow his brand" as the British drivers puts it, and Fuller would be able to open many doors in the lucrative US market. Meanwhile, Hamilton dad, Anthony Hamilton is now acting as F1 newcomer, Paul di Resta's manager at Force India. Speaking about this Lewis said, "He's obviously going to be coming to work to support Paul but he is my dad so he will naturally be up and down, but things are going really well with him"
