HRT Rule Senna Out For Second Seat

Hispania F1, who announced last week that Narain Karthikeyan will be making his return to Formula One in 2011 with the team, have now confirmed that the nephew of the late triple world champion Ayrton Senna will not be driving for the team next season. Speaking to the BBC HRT's team boss Colin Kolles said "I can definitely say that Bruno is not going to race for Hispania next season," This is a big blow for the 27-year old Brazilian driver, who has admitted that he now has few options, especially as there are no realistic vacancies anywhere else. "Maybe he [Kolles] is right, the situation is difficult. I didn't really have the opportunity to show what I could do last year, I had various problems and that didn't help me for this season." Senna added "We are in talks for the few opportunities that are still open but I can't say it's very easy at the moment. Even Nico Hulkenberg is struggling to find a competitive seat. We may see some talents wasted because of the current situation. I hope I can take any opportunities that are available. You never know." Now that HRT have ruled Senna out for their second seat, the only remaining vacancies, are at Force India, who are expected to stick with Adrian Sutil and replace Vitantonio Liuzzi with their current reserve driver Paul di Resta. Plus, with the likes of Vitantonio Liuzzi, Nico Hulkenberg and Senna's previous HRT team mate Karun Chandhok all looking for a seat, alongside other better-funded up and coming drivers, it is making it increasingly difficult. When asked about possible drivers they are looking at to take the second seat at HRT, Colin Kolles said that both Christian Klien and Sakon Yamamoto, who both raced for the team last year, remained in the frame along with others: "There are a few drivers we are talking about," Kolles said
