HRT To Test Liuzzi in Barcelona
According to Autosport The Hispania Racing team are planning to evaluate ex-Force India driver, Vitantonio Liuzzi at the pre-season tests taking place in Barcelona this weekend as a possibility for their second race seat for the 2011 season. HRT are the only team not to have named both their drivers for the 2011 season. They recently signed Karthikeyan, who brings a substantial amount of sponsorship with him to the team, but they are still yet to find his team mate. Autosport reports that a spokesperson for the HRT team said: "Liuzzi is expected to drive at the Barcelona test on Saturday, with Karthikeyan on driving duties today." Despite being contracted to drive for Force India in 2011, Liuzzi has been left without a drive for the coming season after the team decided to replace him with Force India's 2010 reserve driver, Paul di Resta. Liuzzi's name had been loosely linked as a possible replacement for injured Robert Kubica at Lotus Renault GP over the last few weeks, but with Nick Heidfeld taking that seat, Liuzzi is still without a drive.
