Webber: Kubica's absence a big loss to the 2011 season

Red Bull's Mark Webber says Robert Kubica's absence from F1 this season is a big loss for the sport. Webber was speaking after the first day of pre-season testing in Jerez when he made the comment: "It’s a big loss for our sport that he’s not here this year and a big loss for us as competitors, as we’re motivated to race against the best guys in the world and Robert is one of them. I wish him all the best for his recovery; every day he’ll make progress and I’m looking forward to having him back when he is ready." Kubica looks set to miss a good part of the 2011 season if not all of it as he recovers from serious injuries which he sustained in a high speed rally accident last weekend. This is a set back for the Polish driver, as he was topping the time sheets at the Valencia pre-season tests a few days before his terrible accident, and looked in a good position to be a championship contender for Lotus Renault GP this year.
